Scientists defend warning after tsunami nonevent - Yahoo! News

Why do they even need to defend themselves over this? The worst complaint should be that it invoked panic, and led to a run to grocery stores to get food and supplies.

And who are they defending themselves against? The media? Shouldn't they be reporting the news, and not making it?

Takethree
Blogging to me is an outlet. I used to keep a real-life journal, most times it was for/about my girlfriend, but also for me to keep my sanity. I haven't wrote in it a long time, can't really think of reason why not, I just haven't.
In the past I have written in it alot, probably filled up a couple of them small notebooks that you can stick in your back pocket. I carry one with me at all times, mainly for work now, but originally so I can add entries to my journal.
I also have blogged in the past, had two websites, not at the same time though. The first one I consider a political one, which I haven't posted in a long time. The other one hasn't been posted in about a year, but with this ping.fm thing, it looks like I can post on it again regularly, as I am blogging on myspace.com. Ping.fm seems okay so far, the window where you type in is way to small for my tastes, so I'll have to see if I can't change that somehow.

Blogging the world.

The Associated Press: Dungeons & Dragons Co-Creator Dies at 69

The Associated Press: Dungeons & Dragons Co-Creator Dies at 69

What a sad day it is, I feel like I have lost a family member.

The game he helped create back in the 70's, Dungeons and Dragons, has brought me, and millions of others, untold amounts of joy. He inspired me to read books that I may not have picked up otherwise, to use my imagination to battle dragons and demons, and gave me friendships across the world. Because of D&D, I am who I am today, and would not have it any other way.

We will miss you, Gary.

BBC NEWS | Science/Nature | Planet-hunters set for big bounty

BBC NEWS | Science/Nature | Planet-hunters set for big bounty

News articles like this make me wonder how common Earth-like planets are. I hope in my lifetime, I find out, and to find out if there is intelligent extraterrestrial life. I am fairly certain there is life on other planets, like microbes. Hell, they are finding microbes here on earth in the most unusual places, so why not here in our solar system, like Triton.

And this has what to with baseball?! Sounds like they are trying to shift some of the "news" to another sport. Well, let the NFL worry about it, and more importantly, you worry about your sport!

By the way, here is a tissue and some cheese.

Interesting read, given by a non-American (is that even a word?).
